Do I Really Need a Greens Supplements, Anyway?

While there is no doubt that getting your nutrients from whole foods is the ideal way to go, the reality is that most people struggle to meet their daily value of fruits and vegetables in their diets.

Whether or not you should add a greens supplement really depends on your overall diet and lifestyle habits.

If you already consume if you consume a balanced diet of plant based food and whole grains, then you may not need this supplement.

However, if you are a busy mom and constantly on the go, it can be difficult to get enough nutrients through your diet alone and I would suggest trying to work Athletic Greens into your budget.

Adding a greens supplement to a protein shake or smoothie is a great option for boosting both nutritional and protein needs.

It is important to note that I follow a well balanced diet of whole foods, green vegetables, leafy greens and dietary fiber which helps me meet the recommended number of servings on most days. I chose to add Ag1 to help fill in any other nutritional gaps such as the adaptogens, prebiotics and probiotics that I do not obtain from my diet.

However, the specific combination of ingredients in Athletic Greens has not been studied in a clinical trial setting.
